Alice's Adventures Underground

On Friday I went to see 'Alice's Adventures Underground' (a musical/play of a mixed up version of the Alice books). IT WAS SO COOL. It was really weird, but I still loved it. Everyone complimented my Alice cosplay, and I got to go backstage and get autographs because of it! All my clothes were from Bodyline, but I'll talk more about that later, bye bye!

Alice In Wonderland...

Recently I've been SUPER obsessed with Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland" and "Through the Looking glass and What Alice Finds There". I mean, I've gone through pages and pages researching it (oh the powers of Google search!), and finding all these weird facts about it, such as: there's a real medical condition called "Alice In Wonderland Syndrome", the book was originally entitled "Alice's Adventures Under Ground", in the first colored version of the book, Alice's dress was yellow, NOT BLUE (Disney was actually the one to make it blue). Which brings me to an annoying subject: Some of the people I know think that the story of Alice In Wonderland was created by Disney. WOW. Just wow...Anyway, I'm also cosplaying Alice. I'm using the same wig for Shinku, but this is what I'll wear (Most things are from Bodyline Yokoso!):
Its not exactly the classic Alice look, but its definitely something Alice Liddell would wear. (I've been reading about her a lot, too.) I don't actually have the shoes yet, since I'm (very) low on money, but hopefully after Christmas I'll be able to afford it!

I've also been realizing that I have alot of Alice things already. Example:
I have the Mad Hatter's Tea Party by Arthur Rackham. It used to be in my room when I was really young, but the Mad Hatter's hands really creeped me out so it was taken out...but I think I'll put it back up.

SO YEAH, I'M OFFICIALLY AN ALICE FANGIRL WOO.

An Café on Stardoll!!!...and some Twilight

Finally! There's a An Cafe set of dolls on Stardoll!!! Right now it's only for Superstars, which means you guys can't do it yet, but I can!!! There aren't that many clothes… Heh, I just found that cool. I mean they don't have many Japanese musicians on Stardoll besides Ayumi Hamasaki (don't get me wrong, I luv Ayu!) and Gackt (luv him, too). They also have a new Tokyo Street Fashion doll…
BTW-I saw Twilight. It was actually good. It really was. And Robert Pattinson is HOT as a vampire. But y'know…that's not completely WHY I like it…maybe a little…but it really was good. (Sweet Sardines.) I know so many people are saying "Omigod! Why are people making SUCH a big deal over it?!!!" My answer: I have no clue. But it was good. I got to see it before a lot of huge fans got to. I get out early on Fridays so I saw it right after school. While others were waiting outside in the cold at 12 in the morning. HAHAHA! It was kind of funny: These two guys behind me were like "That movie sucked until the last 15 minutes [where most of the action was]!" And I was thinking: 'Is that a compliment?' because by the way he said it, I really couldn't tell.

EDIT-Now they have a Miyavi doll, too! I'm starting to love Stardoll now!

**RANDOM KAWAII**

Since there so much stuff on this one, and I don't think it can handle many more videos, I've started another blog called **RANDOM KAWAII**. I won't neglect this one, but I'll put most videos and less important things on the new one. Click on the screen shot to visit.
When I was making the new one, in order to have that cute background, I had to use the classic Blogger template, which riquires you to work directly on the HTML. I've learned alot! As you can see, the theme right now is Strawberries, but that might change over time. Anyway, be sure to check it out! <---I notice that I say 'anyway' alot.

MOON Kana 香奈 Portrait!

WOW! THIS IS AWESOME! I luv MOON Kana, and I love the way this (talented) person drew her! It's amazing! And by reading the comments, it seems as though she's taught her self. She has inspired me...

Speaking of Kana, I really wish she'd come to the U.S. Maybe she will soon. I hear that she's writing new songs!

I'm Sleepy...

Man. I'm tired. I have a 9 hour school day. WOOOOO! FUN! YEAH!

Anyways, I've been personalizing my new laptop alot. But I think I'm going a little to far:

I'm kind of scaring myself. IT'S TOO WICKED CUTE.

AND IT EVEN MAKES CUTE SOUNDS. THE HORROR!

WHAT?

Wow, I just saw something really funny. Okay, well right now Stardoll's theme is "Punk", so they had a poll asking what we thought punk is: DO YOU SEE THAT AVRIL LAVIGNE IS IN THE LEAD? HUH? THAT MAKES NO SENSE. SHE IS NOT PUNK,AND NEITHER IS HER MUSIC!!! Do people ACTUALLY believe that she's punk?

I obviously picked Sex Pistols, but even Greenday is WAY more punk then her.

Little Fact About Me: I used to like her. When she was like 17, and had brown hair and good songs. Now I don't. Now she's 24, has blonde hair, and really boring (and rude) songs. So...yeah.

update...on things...

Uhh...Hello. I have something to tell you all: I AM SERIOUSLY HATING SCHOOL. I'm doing well academically, but otherwise, not so well. I have never had trouble making friends. I'm never the "popular" one, but I'm never a loner or whatever, either...until now. I'm in a good school, filled with nice teachers and smart students (at least most of them are smart, anyway), but oddly enough I'm in a class where the following are possible: (1) no one has any of the same interests as me (2) no one has any interest in me (3) for some stupid reason someone has pure hatred towards me (4) I have pure hatred towards someone (with very good reasons) (5) Other... (6) A mixture of/all of the above. So...yeah.

On a happier subject, IT'S HALLOWEEN! Lets all rejoice! I luv Halloween. No, not for the candy, or the dressing up (though I do enjoy those things very much), but just being able to spend a spooky night with your friends outside, or barely surviving cheesy horror films inside...alone.
I'm just going to use my Ichigo costume. Yeah, again. Whatever. Ichigo kawaii desu!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN YALLS.

Shinku Pullip!!!

To go with my Shinku cosplay I am buying a Shinku Pullip! I would get a Super Dollfie one, except that it's like $1,000. But the Pulllip one is really cute, and she comes with Detective Kun Kun!* So then I was thinking that I could also make a Kun Kun plushie, and so the doll and I could completely match! Oooh, I'm getting so excited!

*Detective Kun Kun is a plush dog detective on a show that the Rozen Maidens (especially Shinku) love.

Japanese Class!

Yay!!! I'm learning Japanese from an actual teacher now! I don't have to watch anymore stupid hiragana videos on YouTube!!! Well, maybe a little. We just started writing. And...class can get kind of boring because it seems like we've been repeating the same things over and over again. But it's better than nothing, right? Right. Anyway, it was kind of funny in class today because when we were practicing:

は (ha)
ひ (hi)

ふ (fu)
へ (he)
ほ (ho)

Some kid in my class (won't say who) randomly yelled: "This stuff is gibberish! How do you expect us to write this? Japanese symbols are so stupid! You can't force a culture on me!"
While hearing this I chuckled, but at the same time felt like slapping him across the face. I also felt really bad for Sensei. Though it can be kind of boring, I know he's working really hard to teach us-and believe me, my class isn't always so easy to teach-so I could just imagine how mad he was. Anyway, that was just an interesting way to start the day.

LOVE AND HAPPY <3,
Kitty =^-.-^=

Shinku Wig!!!

Yay! I finally got my cosplay wig for Shinku!!! I'm so happy! The only thing is that I'm a natural brunette and I look a little funny as a blonde. But I'm sure that will my white powder foundation I'll look fine. The only thing is that I don't think I'll be able to put it in the pony tales, but besides that it's perfect, curls and all! I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but as soon as I do, I promise, I'll post it right here.

MOON Kana Buddy Icons!!!

Very cute, huh?

YAY! SO KAWAII. I think they're supposed to be animated but Blogger doesn't show that so that makes me kinda sad. But you can get them all at her website. Anyway, I really wanted to download some of the songs from ♠Spade♠, one of her albums, and I was looking everywhere I could think of, but I didn't have very good luck, so I decided I better buy it, only to find that it's out of print. (Which I don't get because it was only released it 2005!) So I looked on eBay, and only one person was selling it. No one had bid on it yet and there is only about a day left. So I think I'll bid. The only thing is that it's like forty dollars, which I think is pretty expensive for a CD, but whatever. It's worth it.

Gyaru-Moji

Gyaru-Moji(ギャル文字,"gal's alphabet") is writing used by young women and school girls, when passing notes or sending text messages. It can also be called Heta-moji, meaning poor hand writing. It started simply because girls didn't want boys and teachers to know what they were writing. It's like leet speek, you subtitute certain characters for ones that look similar. Though it might look like simplified characters, it's not simple. It requires alot of effort, both to read and to write, but that's why it works. For more information go to:

Yamamba And Some More Ganguro!

Okay, last time I talked about the Ganguro style. Now is time for a little continuation of that. If you thought Ganguro was extreme, then you definitely haven't seen Yamamba. Yamamba (meaning mountain hag) is for girls who want even darker skin, instead a deep tan they wear dark brown makeup on their face, and even heavier eye makeup, achieving a look that looks kind of like a panda or raccoon. Many people see them as bad girls, going against the traditional whitening up look, but they're just normal people, though they are know for not showering. It may be weird, but this is just another style you might see while in Japan.

Ganguro=SCARY!!!

This is one very interestin-g fashion in Japan, that as you can kind of guess, SCARES ME. That does not mean that I don't like it. It's just a little too extreme for something I might think of wearing. It started to get most popular in the 90's with teenagers and young women, some runaways, and some just wanting to stand out. Though it's roots are the GAL or Gyaru style, and the KoGAL style (which was supposed to to look like Californian girls). The style is a deep tan, bleached blond hair (sometimes with streaks of other colors), heavy eye makeup, white concealer for lipstick, false eyelashes, and face gems; though the rules can be twisted a little. The clothing is usually bright, colorful outfits, consisting of miniskirts, platform boots, arm warmers, and bangles. Anyway, I might write a little more about this fashion later. But that's it for now. BYE!

I'M BACK

I am sorry I've been out for so long. I decided to take a little break but I'm back. Anyway, don't give up on me!!!

HauteDoll Magazine

Last month I wrote a post about Dollfies. If you were interested in those amazing dolls, you'll surely love this magazine. It introduces different types of dolls and the artists who create them. Of course the items inside them are very expensive, but each issue is $9. And there's alot of stuff in there so I think it's a pretty good deal. Some of the dolls really amaze me. The people that create them make them seem so real. Not just by the aperance, but as though the dolls have souls. Maybe they do, well as I was saying, if you see a copy of this magazine, pick it up.

Gothic&Lolita Bible

One of my hobbies is buying Japanese fashion magazines. I love looking at the styles and stuffed animals. I had already heard of the Gothic&Lolita Bible, I knew it was supposed to be really good. So when I saw an issue in a comic shop I had to get it, the greatest thing about it was that I could read it, yes, it was in English. And yet I enjoy the original Japanese copies too, I haven't learned enough Japanese to read them yet. (Though I'm taking classes.) So I was really glad to find one in English. The only thing about the translated version is that they change somethings. They put more things in about the Lolita style in the U.S., but most of it is the same, so I'm happy. The thing that sets most other fashion mags aside is that there's also alot of writing, and information on musicians. There's a little bit of every thing in it! So check it out!

The Lolrus and his Bukkit

This is a great example of a lol story. I really don't understand why a walrus would need a bucket, but I know that it makes me laugh. For the whole story go to:

or

or buy lolrus merchandise at:

Merrymaking by An Cafe

I love this song. It's one of An Cafe's more peppy songs. And just to let you know, the blonde one in the skirt is guy, his name is Bou and sadly he's not in the band anymore. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Summer

It's Summer time now and for most school and work is out, but for others all I can say is hang in there! Summer is alot of peoples' favorite season, but though I enjoy Ihaving the ability to relax, it's not my fave. I usually don't like the extreams of weather, but that's just me. Anyway, just like Winter, Spring and Autumn, Summer has it's styles too. So I'm excited to see what crazy trends will emerge. :3

Subbed vs. Dubbed

When watching a foreign show or movie, it can be difficult deciding which to pick: subbed or dubbed. From my perspective, for especially anime, I think I enjoy the subtitled, original version. I mean, the dubbed version is usually okay, but you just don't get the emotion of how it was suppose to sound. Also, in dubbed versions, they change somethings that the characters say. But, there is one good thing about dubbed versions, they're easy to watch and understand. It's kind of better to watch dubs if you're not familiar with the story and/or are not used to reading subtitles. So, it's up to you as to which you pick, but just keep these these things in mind.

Nerdy Cuteness!

Okay, okay, I am a total nerd. But I am proud of it. I mean, what's wrong with it? Anyway, even though the Anime Con near me is about a year away, I've really been thinking about who I'll be for cosplay. The character I dressed as last year was perfect, and was a big hit, so this year I want to be someone who is just as good, or better. I have had a few ideas, but they just don't seem recognizable enough. Then, I got into watching a series called Rozen Maiden. The story is super complicated so I can't really explain it, but believe me, it's great. Also, the character I would most likely dress as, is sooo cute, and her outfit is even cuter. If you want to know more about this series, go to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rozen_Maiden

Reasoning

I am very sad, my tiny floating turtle recently passed away. It is harder than you would think to take care of small animals. Sometimes giving them everything they need isn't enough, they're just not made to live for long periods of time, usually. I believe that most things happen for good reasons. We just don't realize them yet.

BOOM BOOM Meccha Maccho Story Version

A little while ago I posted the the dance shot version of this song. Now I also have the story version. So if you want more dance, watch the other one, if you want story watch this one, or watch both. Any way you choose, I think you'll like it!

Kawaii News! vol.1

Oh, sorry, I couldn't write about Kawaii on Monday because I was sick, so I'll just write today. Okay, suddenly there has been a huge Cuteness Phase with many countries. I have noticed that many movies, cartoons, and toys are kind of being inspired by anime. The characters' eyes are getting bigger and bigger, and the expressions on the faces are more exaggerated, well not that American cartoons weren't already exaggerated enough. There is now some anime playing on Nickelodeon, I think it's great that people on the other side the earth can see the glory of anime. A few years ago Tokyo Pop books decided to make manga that was made of the stars of Disney. Whether people know it or not, Anime and Manga are becoming more mainstream in other countries.

Shoes!

If you ask me, sometimes shoes are the most important part of what you wear. If you're not wearing the right shoes, you could totally mess up an outfit. When I shop, I try to buy clothing to go with the shoes I have. I mean, you want to do your shoes justice, if you think about it, shoes do big favors for you. And I know this might be a huge bias, but most men kind of have it easy. My dad buys only 3 or 4 pairs of shoes to last for as long as they're in one piece! (No offence daddy, I luv you!) Anyway, I've gotten way off the subject as always. But what I'm really trying to say is that you should honor your shoes, they do a great deal for you!

Three Cute Commercials

These are so kawaii! Two of them star the girls from W.

Creative Videos

I think Japanese music videos are so creative. They each are as upbeat and entertaining as the songs! I love Jpop and Jrock so much! Don't you? Anyway, the song is Robo Kiss by W (Double You) .

Gyaruru: BOOM BOOM Meccha Maccho

Just some cute Jpop!

Pit Bulls

I don't care what anyone says, I think Pit Bulls are wonderful.I have one and she is the sweetest dog you could ever meet! When someones at the door, they will be protective and bark, but that's good, because you don't want a dog that's going to let an intruder get away! My dog for some reason thinks she's a little puppy, when she's really a 65 pound 2 year old. She loves to lay on your lap and sleep with me under the covers with a teddy bear, of course! She also only likes tiny male dogs. I love my baby and I wish the world could see that Pit Bulls aren't vicious monsters. Above is a picture of my dog from Halloween.

Some Dollfie Outfits!

Dollfies

These are the best dolls in the world! Number 1: the dolls themselves are gorgeous, but the clothing and shoes are made better than most of the things I wear. The price range of finished dolls is anywhere from $108 to about $1,000. These dolls might be a bit pricey, but believe me, they're worth it.
P.S. The one on the right is a boy!

Yoshitomo Nara & Takashi Murakami

These are two of my favorite artists. Yes, they're both Japanese, but that has nothing really to do with why I like them. There's a quirky beauty to the mad faces of the girls Nara creates and the colorful pooping elephants Murakami makes. They somehow seem to connect these weird images with their traditional Japanese roots. If you haven't already heard of them, make sure to check them out. In the meantime, look at the wonderful pictures displayed above.

Books

Okay, Lets take a break from fashion and talk about something that is fun, informative, portable, and passes the time-READING! I love books. But I'm kind of picky when it comes to choosing the best ones. I'm not the fastest reader, unless I'm reading a creepy classic that's full of suspense. I mean, I can read quickly, but when I read I don't want to rush. I want to take in the beauty of the book, sometimes read sentences over again. But as I said earlier, if I'm reading something scary, I seem to zip right through them. It's not that I'm more interested in them, but there is just something about spine-chilling stories that make me want to read more and more. Anyway, all I'm trying to say is that if your bored, the best thing to do is read. Because "Reading Is Magic"!

Steampunk

Steampunk is an interesting fashion that began in the 80's and 90's. It is based on the early Victorian look, but has an edgy flare. Recently I have been attempting airbrush. Now, your probably thinking: "Why is she talking about airbrush when she's suppose to be talking about this zany style?" Well, believe me, I may be crazy but I know what I'm talking about! Steampunk is a genre of art. Many movies such as Steamboy and The Golden Compass use this fantasy like technique. I saw the clothing and was amazed. Then I was thinking:"Hey! This stuff looks exactly like the Tokyo Street Fashion!" And if you think about it, it is.

Thanks! ありがとう!

hello! thank you for viewing my blog! I hope you continue to check back every so often!
