I think a big inspiration for my personal style and the art that I make is Tokyo Street Fashion. The way the Japanese put things together amazes me. They're not afraid they're going to look silly or whatever, because that's partially the point. There outfits may look crazy to you, but in Japan it's an ordinary, every day look. My favorite aspect of Tokyo Street Fashion is the Baby doll-lolita look. The women and teens that dress in this fashion intend to look like little girls. You know, puffy sleeves, big petticoats, that kind of stuff. Many of them carry around stuffed animals or dolls, to magnify the childish look. There are actually different styles of this look. There is the classic Lolita, the elegant Lolita, the sweet lolita, the Gothic lolita, the punk lolita, and more. You don't have to wear a big dress to follow this style, as you can probably tell, on the streets of Tokyo it's exaggerated. All you have to wear is a cute puff-sleeved T-shirt and your favorite skinny jeans. Don't forget a bow in the hair! If you match that with some kawaii accessories, you'll be baby dolled-up and ready to go!
